2024
Our PhD student Monika Šoltić has been in Ljubljana, visiting The Faculty of Health Science, University of Ljubljana, from 02 - 22 April 2024. The mobility program was financed by CEEPUS (https://www.ceepus.info/). She was able to measure the charge of the precursor solution at different pH values, ranging from pH 1 to 7. The work is the part of her PhD. Quantification of the sample charges by titration with a polyelectrolyte of opposite charge was performed with the Muetek™ Particle Charge Detector (PCD). She was able to determine the isoelectric point of the hematite sample (Fe2O3) in the nanotube morphology, and this information will help to determine the optimal conditions for the adsorption of platinum (IV) on the hematite support.
